Nervana takes lead roles in the Profession.

Dr. Jody Shawn, from Nervana Warwick has recently been appointed to the CAA WA (Chiropractic Association of Australia, WA) Executive Board.  The CAA is Australia's peak body representing Chiropractors and all of Nervana's Chiropractors are active members of the CAA.  Dr. Shawn's portfolio consists of Public Education which covers a diverse range of initiatives, spanning from organising Chiropractic Care Week and Straighten Up Australia, to disseminating Chiropractic research and responding to media requests on behalf of the CAA.  Dr. Shawn is excited about the challenges ahead, and is looking forward to making an impact on the WA public regarding the importance of Chiropractic Care.   

Dr. Glenn Farrant, from Nervana Kalamunda has also accepted the role of state treasurer on the executive board of the CAA(WA). Dr Farrant will bring many years of experience to the board, ensuring that the CAA(WA) remains the peak body representing chiropractic.

Dr. Craig Foote, from Nervana Yokine has accepted a role with the Australian Spinal Research Foundation as Governor (Board member). This foundation funds research into the effects of chiropractic on human health and is the major charity that Nervana supports. It is an international foundation with many supporting it from overseas.

All of these positions are unpaid and some are for periods of up to three years, but at Nervana we believe that we need to play a major role in the shaping of our profession and the health of our local communities.
